Operating Your Diesel Locomotive
Starting your Locomotive while the loco is stationary:
Enter the loco DCC address into your DCC Throttle.
Press F5 to Start Up your loco.
Press F6 to Shut Down your loco.
Press F8 to Mute the sound at any time.
While your loco is moving:
Press F5 to Notch Up the loco's engine.
Press F6 to Notch Down the loco's engine
Press F9 to apply the Brake and your loco will come to a stop. Press F9 again to release the brake.
Press Emergency Stop on your DCC Throttle and your loco will stop instantly and enter Shut Down Mode. To Start Up the loco again, press F5.
The SoundTraxx Engine Auto Start feature is not available on the steam decoders so your locomotive will start making a sound when your DCC layout is powered up.
Operating your steam locomotive functions is self explanatory and they work similar to the diesel decoders with the exception of F5 and F6 which offer a drifting or coasting mode when driving your steam locomotive.
The Econami Decoder
Resetting the Decoder
Should the decoder require a factory reset due to an issue with the decoder or you have made incorrect changes or not satisfied with the changes simply enter the value 8 in CV 8 then disable and reapply the power to activate the reset. This should be done on a "programming track" and not "programming on the main". A decoder reset will return all CV values to the original Soundtraxx factory settings. Any programming changes made by DCC Solutions or you ,the user, will be lost and will be required to be reprogrammed. It is advisable that a record of these changes be kept.Hungry for More Info
